I think it's really interesting how some people can just be on this completely different plane of existence. Observing that is one of the things that keeps me going every single day.

Although it seems kind of pish-posh, paying attention to people's perception of different art forms is one of the easiest ways of analyzing how different from you they really are.

I thought it was specifically funny when I showed Codi Carmichael the song "Little Bit" by Lykke Li because I thought it was not only an amazing single from an amazing new artist, but it's a fresh sound that pretty much everyone will be digging sooner or later. It's extremely innovative but extremely accessible at the same time.

Anyways, 30 seconds into the song, she started scrunching her face and asking "What is this music?!??!" and the same question kind of repeated throughout the entirety. She didn't like it. Later on, I showed her the video to see if it would help her pick up on the vibe of it more. She still "didn't get it" and even worded it that way herself. Later that night, she showed it to a bunch more of her pornstar friends and apparently they spent the next 10 minutes making fun of it together, because "it was the worst thing they had ever heard" and... well apparently they all just didn't have the ability to "get it"...

I can't even imagine what that would be like!!!

I guess I just have to prepare for a lot of people being on this completely different page, living in this whole other world - when I move to L.A.

Clearly not everyone is going to fall into the same category, but I have a feeling I will meet a fairly large quantity of them!
